The Department of Applied Technologies is looking to fill a vacancy for an enthusiastic and visionary academic who will provide leadership in the design, development and delivery of scalable digital literacy and digital capability programmes across the University. The incumbent will drive a shift from foundational tool-based training toward a comprehensive, future-oriented conception of digital literacy, encompassing information fluency, cybersecurity awareness, artificial intelligence literacy, and critical engagement with digital technologies.
The role includes oversight and renewal of existing and proposed digital literacy offerings, including service modules, higher certificate and short learning programmes, while developing innovative, technology-enabled and integrated approaches to teaching and learning that support large and diverse student cohorts. The incumbent will contribute to research and scholarship in digital education, including the study of large-scale, technology-enabled teaching and learning environments, supervise postgraduate students where appropriate, contribute to community engagement, and be involved in the core functions of the University.
