SUMMARY:
A Big 5 Game Lodge in Pilanesberg, North West is seeking a highly experienced and professional Senior Head Guide to lead the guiding team and deliver exceptional wildlife experiences. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing guiding operations, mentoring guides, and ensuring top-tier guest experiences in a luxury lodge environment.

POSITION INFO:
REQUIREMENT:
- RSA ID and legal residence essential
- FGASA Level 2 (or higher preferred)
- Lead Trails Guide qualification essential
- Advanced Rifle Handling (ARH)
- Valid PDP (Professional Driving Permit)
- Valid First Aid certification
- Proven experience as a Senior / Head Guide in a Big 5 environment
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent knowledge of wildlife, ecosystems, and tracking
- Strong communication and guest hosting ability
- Professional, well-presented, and guest-focused
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manage the guiding department and daily operations
- Conduct game drives and guided bush walks to a high standard
- Ensure guest safety and exceptional experiences at all times
- Mentor, train, and develop junior guides
- Maintain guiding vehicles, firearms, and equipment
- Oversee guiding schedules and team performance
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and lodge procedures
- Uphold conservation principles and ethical guiding practices
- Work closely with lodge management to enhance guest experience
