Senior Fitter (Boiler Shop Foreman)

SUMMARY:
BOILERSHOP FOREMAN

• Minimum N6 in a mechanical field
• Recognized trade test in Fitting/Fitting & Turning
• John Thompson boiler attendant certificate would be advantageous.
• 5 years in supervisory position
• 5 years fitting experience in heavy machinery. Coal fired boilers,
• 500Cfm to 1000Cfm compressors, Centrifugal and piston type water pumps.
• Preferred experience in a charge hand or foreman position

POSITION INFO:
Knowledge and Skills 

• Thorough knowledge and understanding of mechanical drives, gearboxes,
• hydraulics, pneumatics, water and steam reticulation
• Ability to work accurately, neatly, and efficiently
• Ability to carry out fabrication work, (Welding, grinding, and cutting)
• Good communication skills with management and fellow employees
