Mining is an industry where the financial decisions behind the operation can be just as important as the operation itself. This JHB West opportunity puts you in a position to influence those decisions while leading a finance team and taking ownership of key financial processes.

With five years' experience under your belt and at least two years leading a team, you'll bring both the technical depth and people leadership needed to make an impact in a complex mining environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver accurate monthly results and management information to support executive-level decision-making
Provide hands-on leadership to the finance team, driving performance, development, and accountability
Investigate financial movements and translate complex results into clear commercial insights
Maintain robust financial controls across the general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end close
Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning alongside key business stakeholders

Job Experience and Skills Required:

BCom Degree in Accounting or Finance (essential)
Minimum 5 years' experience in a Financial Accountant role
Minimum 2 years' experience leading and developing a finance team
Mining industry experience (essential)
Strong ERP systems exposure coupled with advanced Microsoft Excel skills
