SUMMARY:
Opportunity Available!! Our leading client in the Clothing Retail Sector is looking to employ a Senior Finance Clerk to join their dynamic team in East London.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Description: 

  • Complete cash overs/unders and related queries.
  • Refunds to customers as and when required.
  • Ensure control sheet is updated (customer refund related).
  • Daily sales summary prep for reporting
  • Daily speedpoint banking.
  • Ensure speedpoint merchant numbers are updated.
  • Process store deposits into Excel.
  • After month-end run, complete and check cash overs/unders, including RCS, speedpoint and Cards
  • Process speedpoint overs/unders journal.
  • Cash overs/unders journal and clearing 601 account.
  • Cash overs/unders check 1001 account.
  • Cash floats and Petty cash.
  • Bank Charges – check and process per store.
  • Fidelity – Daily Deposits.
  • Fidelity – Record and monitor collections and update missed collections.
  • Debit order listing
  • Maintaining fixed asset register and prepare depreciation journal
  • As and when required:
o Review rental recons
o Review sundry payments
o Provisions
o Daily Cash Flow
o Fidelity Queries
o Monthly Vat Recons
o Balance Sheet Recons
o Bank Recons x 5
o Journals: Stock & Sales; Interest; unpaid sweeping; speedpoint and re-allocations

Housekeeping:
  • Maintain cleanliness in office.
General:
  • Finance tasks allocated by the Accountant or Finance Manager.
  • Assist auditors (internal / external) with required information/documentation.

Job Requirements: 

  • Bookkeeping / Finance related qualification (advantageous)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Similar role
  • Pastel / Evolution
  • Advanced Excel
