Senior Finance Clerk

SENIOR FINANCE CLERK – To drive, manage, deliver and plan all finance related tasks of the business. The Senior Finance Clerk assists the accountant to make sound business choices within their specific department/role.

Requirements:

Matric/Grade 12

Bookkeeping/Finance qualification (advantageous)

Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar role

Clothing Retail experience is beneficial

Proficient in Pastel & Microsoft Office Advanced Excel, Word, Outlook)

Ability and adaptable when working under pressure

Ability to use own initiative

Creative and Forward thinking

Good attention to detail and communication skills on all levels

Team Player

A proven ability to manage staff and ensure maximum productivity

Valid Code 08 License – Code 8 unendorsed

Excellent reporting writing & numeracy skills

Willingness to learn

Duties:

Complete cash overs/unders journal and clearing account

Process speedpoint overs/unders journal

Cash floats and petty cash

Bank charges – check and process per store

Refunds to customers as and when required

Fidelity – daily deposits

Fidelity – Record and monitor collections and update missed collections

Debit order listing

Maintaining fixed asset register and prepare depreciation journal

As and when required: Review rental recons, review sundry payments, provisions, daily cash flow, fidelity queries, Monthly Vat recons, Balance sheet Recons, Bank Recons x 5, Journals: stock & sales, interest, unpaid sweeping, speed point and re-allocations

Qualification verification

Computer and Psychometric assessments

First Aider training if required

Salary: Market related depending on experience and qualifications
