SUMMARY:
A well-established company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Credit Controller to join their Finance Team in Modderfontein.

POSITION INFO:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Tertiary qualification in Credit Management, Bookkeeping, Finance, or related field
5 – 10 years’ experience in a Credit Control role
Strong understanding of South African financial legislation and credit control processes
Experience working with accounting systems (SAP)
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage allocated debtor’s book to ensure timely collection of outstanding amounts
Build and maintain strong client relationships to support effective debt recovery
Manage advance payment (COD) and credit customers
Issue and follow up on statements, invoices and account queries
Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
Assist with refund requisitions and related finance processes
Support credit application assessments and credit risk management
Liaise with Finance and Legal departments on escalated collections
Ensure all supporting documentation (PODs, POs, invoices) complies with customer requirements
Update internal systems with accurate collection progress and status notes
Drive reduction of overdue debtors and improve cash flow performance
