POSITION INFO:

Matric certificate

Certificate in Credit Management

Computer literacy (Microsoft Office) particularly Excel

Knowledge and experience with ERP system preferably Syspro

Dealing with large retail accounts advantageous

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar role

Basic understanding of the National Credit Act

Job Description

Management of the full credit control function

Payment allocations

Forwarding monthly statements to customers

Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on past due accounts

Forwarding invoices and schedules weekly to customers

Managing customer portals

Releasing & printing credit notes

Offsetting payments from suspense account to cash accounts

Provide detailed monthly feedback on debtors aging

Release and print orders for CT & DBN branches

Cash payments for walk in customers

Verify credit applications

Opening new debtor accounts on Syspro

Requesting remittances and reconciliation of accounts

Collection of payments on the due date as per trading terms

Requesting and investigating claims from customers

Follow up on correspondence with relevant customers with regard to overdue unpaid invoices and rejected claims

Contacting the customers for payment when the credit limit is reached

Cash flow projection

Preparing the rebates, discount, bad debt & DC charges calculation

Monthly & yearly reconciliation of rebates & discounts

Working with legal team, start legal proceedings if debt is not paid within the agreed terms

Maintaining export sales file

Assisting with internal and external audits

Reporting to management
