POSITION INFO:

Job Title: Commercial Underwriter
Report to: Underwriting Manager
Seniority Level: Senior Career (7+ yrs exp)
Type: Permanent
Duties and Responsibilities:

Assess and evaluate insurance applications for commercial lines
Underwrite new business and renewals within set guidelines
Analyze and interpret statistical data for complex risks
Ensure compliance with underwriting standards and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with brokers and agents to provide underwriting support

Skills Required: Commercial Lines Underwriting, Business Insurance, Marine Insurance, Engineering Insurance, Cardinal 360 (adv)
Qualifications Needed: RE 5, Higher Certificate in Short Term Insurance, FETC in Short Term Insurance NQF 4, Matric, Class of Business - Personal Lines, Class of Business Commercial Lines.
