POSITION INFO:

Our client in the public sector is seeking to appoint a Senior Admin Officer on a fixed-term contract. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a qualified and experienced individual to support senior management with comprehensive secretarial, administrative, and office support services.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage diaries, appointments, correspondence, and official records.
• Coordinate and prepare documentation for meetings, workshops, and events.
• Arrange travel, accommodation, and related logistics.
• Provide administrative support including filing, drafting, editing, and formatting official documents.
• Monitor and coordinate budget-related documents and expenditure reports.
• Maintain accurate databases, inventories, and contact lists.
• Provide project administration support, including follow-ups and progress tracking.
• Act as secretariat for meetings, ensuring accurate minutes and follow-up on action items.

Minimum Requirements

• A National Diploma or Degree (3-year, registered qualification).
• At least 2 years’ relevant administration experience.
• Knowledge of office administration processes, PFMA, Public Service Act and Regulations, and applicable directives.
• Computer literacy: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, and internet.
• Strong communication, report writing, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and maintain confidentiality.
