Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Month-End & IFRS 16 Control: Direct the comprehensive month-end closing cycle by processing complex provisions, accruals, and adjustments, while maintaining absolute command over intricate IFRS 16 lease accounting and compliance data models.
• Balance Sheet Integrity & Analytics: Perform detailed evaluations of all balance sheet reconciliations, analyze multi-branch financial results, and translate raw general ledger numbers into actionable management insight summaries.
• Corporate Asset & Ledger Governance: Supervise the comprehensive fixed asset register, including corporate disposals, cross-branch asset transfers, and depreciation modeling, while verifying the absolute structural validity of all financial inputs.
• Audit Management & Statutory Tax Compliance: Act as the primary corporate point of contact for internal and external auditors, while managing timeous VAT and Income Tax submissions and driving direct, successful resolutions with SARS.
• Cross-Functional Support & Legislative Alignment: Provide expert technical accounting guidance to regional operational hubs while enforcing strict corporate adherence to the Companies Act, IFRS, tax frameworks, and POPIA data guidelines.

• A completed BCom Degree in Accounting, Corporate Finance, or a closely related financial qualification.
• Completed SAIPA or SAICA training articles will be considered a distinct professional advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years of solid, reference-backed success operating within a full-function corporate or commercial accounting seat.
• Proven accounting experience gained within the courier, logistics, freight transport, supply chain, wholesale, or large-scale product distribution sectors is essential.
• Advanced operational mastery of Microsoft Excel for data manipulation, alongside practical familiarity navigating Sage ERP platforms or comparable tier-one financial accounting software packages.
