SUMMARY:
Are you ready to shape the future of credit decisioning across industries? We’re looking for a seasoned Scoring Data Scientist with a strong track record in feature engineering, scorecard development, and reject inference methodologies.

POSITION INFO:
This is an exciting opportunity to innovate in data-scarce environments, particularly within SME lending, while working closely with senior stakeholders and mentoring the next generation of data scientists.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and peer review application scorecards (including reject inference techniques).
Lead feature engineering initiatives to drive model performance and business impact.
Align scorecard strategies with commercial objectives in collaboration with stakeholders.
Apply scoring models across banking and non-banking industries.
Develop predictive solutions in low-data environments, especially SME lending.
Mentor and upskill junior analysts/data scientists.
Present insights and recommendations to executive stakeholders.
Contribute to PD and behavioural model development across the team.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Education: Degree in Mathematics, Statistics or Engineering
Experience:
- 8+ years hands-on experience in application scoring & credit risk modelling
Skills:
- SAS expertise is essential; Paragon modeler experience advantageous.
- Proven expertise in scorecard development, reject inference & validation.
