Scheduler (Agri Logistics)

SUMMARY:
he Scheduler will be responsible for planning, scheduling and reconciling daily and weekly production, dispatches and collections, while ensuring raw materials, labels and packaging are available to meet production requirements.

POSITION INFO:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and manage daily and weekly production and loading schedules.
• Monitor the order bank and ensure raw materials, labels and packaging are secured ahead of production.
• Coordinate with Agents, Transporters, Production, Stock Control and other internal departments.
• Compile and distribute daily and weekly production, loading and dispatch schedules.
• Follow up on missed loads, collections and transport arrangements, and reschedule where required.
• Ensure production schedules avoid duplication and align with available finished-product stock and plant capacity.
• Provide daily feedback and reports on production, dispatches, missed loads and outstanding requirements.
• Prepare production lists, job cards and recipes for scheduled products.
• Verify recipes against BOM requirements and escalate discrepancies for immediate correction.
• Coordinate weekly requirements and raw-material schedules with relevant stakeholders.
• Follow up on raw-material stock transfers and purchase orders.
• Communicate plant operating hours and operational requirements to Agents, AMMs and Transporters.
• Provide operational support after hours and during peak season when required.
• Ensure a trained substitute is available when absent and mentor the designated backup.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• 3 years or more experience in a warehouse, inventory, stock control, production, sales or logistics environment.
• SAP and Sizanani experience.
• Intermediate MS Excel and Word skills; advanced Excel/data analysis advantageous.
• B.Com in Logistics, Supply Chain or Management
• Strong planning, coordination, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good understanding of cross-functional business operations.
• English business proficiency; Afrikaans advantageous.
• Willingness to work outside normal hours and on weekends when operationally required.
