Scale Operator

A well-established company in the scrap metal and recycling industry is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Scale Operator to join its operational team.

This role is ideal for an individual who is comfortable working in a busy industrial environment and who can accurately manage weighbridge activities while maintaining high levels of attention to detail.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

• Operate weighbridge systems and accurately capture all incoming and outgoing load information
• Verify load details, supplier information, and supporting documentation
• Maintain accurate records and generate operational reports
• Communicate professionally with drivers, suppliers, and site personnel
• Identify discrepancies and report issues to management
• Use digital and AI-assisted systems for operational tracking and reporting
• Ensure efficient vehicle flow and adherence to site procedures

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification preferred (relevant experience will also be considered)
• Must be fluent in Afrikaans and English
• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
• Basic computer literacy
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced operational and industrial environment
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
