SUMMARY:
Leading South African online retailers of furniture, bedding and decor is seeking a SALES AND OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR to join their team in Somerset West.

POSITION INFO:

Leading South African online retailers of furniture, bedding and decor is seeking a SALES AND OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR to join their team in Somerset West.  The administrator will be required to assist with customer service and sales enquiries (pre and post), packing, dispatch and tracking.  To administer the website backend in terms of product information, stock control and maintenance.

 

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

 

  • Answer phone and field general queries
  • Answer basic customer enquiries
  • Packing orders
  • Courier bookings
  • Email tracking information to customers/enter on system
  • Receiving stock into warehouse
  • Tracking orders
  • Update products/stock levels
  • Load new products
  • Update products
  • Liaise with suppliers
  • Ordering of stock
  • Collecting/delivering on odd occasions
  • Receiving visitors for meetings/Serving Tea/Coffee at meetings
  • Post office duties
  • Keeping kitchen, office & bedding supplies filled up
  • Create orders on back office
  • Send orders through to relevant suppliers
  • General back-up if Sales & Logistics manager is out of office

 

Experience and skills required:

  • Must have matric, tertiary qualification would be an added advantage
  • Experience working in an office environment with sales and/or admin
  • Experience working with a ticketing system with online orders
  • Online SALES support experience
  • Experience in customer service
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Excellent communication skills, must be fluent in English
  • Must be proficient in MS office, use of Internet & email software
  • Must have valid driver’s license and own reliable transport
  • Calm demeanor with a natural act to empathize
