POSITION INFO:

Sales & Marketing Transport Broker (Road Freight) – Western Cape

R30 000 – R40 000 Per Month plus Lucrative Commission structure plus Performance based bonus!

Our client, a highly established and reputable road freight firm is in search of an experienced Sales & Marketing Broker.

One would describe you as being a self-motivated and highly proactive individual who not only has a proven record of acquiring new business but also has the industry knowledge and experience to match available loads and trucks accordingly.

Main Purpose of the Role:

To source trucks and successfully facilitate carriage of customer goods by hauliers and at times by the Company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide a timely and efficient haulage service customers to meet with their delivery services.
• Canvass for and secure new hauliers and to continue the growth of the organisation.
• Develop and create a marketing strategy for new business
• Ensure continuous follow-up on pending clients
• Establish and maintain long-term customer relationships with clients and hauliers
• Provide a professional service including after- sales service, client enquiries and regular follow ups
• Exceed sales objective of assigned targets by promoting and selling all services through professional sales targets
• Ensure consistent achievement of all relevant product or monthly targets
• Keep abreast with new products knowledge and acquire improved selling skills
• Ensure effective and ongoing communication between the sales teams and supporting departments within the Company
• Respond and assist on all sales department queries as communicated by the sales team
• Responsible for updating client information on internal database
• The liaison with existing sub-contractors and recruitment of reputable new sub-contractors where required
• Clearing and forwarding
• Compiling quotations for established and new clients
• Negotiating taffifs, fees, discounts and contracts with clients.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12
• B.Com Logistics Degree / similar would be preferred
• 5 years road freight sales experience gained within the Logistics / Transport Brokering / Courier industry
• Proven experience as an operator / load controller
• Specializing in Container Transport - advantageous
• Proven sales track record of success
• Own reliable transport
