Sales Team Leader

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Performance

• Drive the achievement of team sales KPIs and targets
• Monitor agent performance, productivity, and call metrics
• Ensure effective utilisation of leads and adherence to quality standards
• Analyse sales data and implement corrective actions where required
• Manage escalations and ensure resolution of customer queries

Team Development

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of 5–8 sales agents
• Identify performance gaps and implement targeted coaching plans
• Conduct performance reviews and support continuous improvement
• Address underperformance in line with company procedures

Operational & Compliance Management

• Ensure adherence to FAIS and regulatory requirements
• Maintain accurate reporting and administrative records
• Manage audit findings and implement corrective actions
• Oversee daily operational processes and team discipline

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12)
• RE5 (in line with DOFA requirements)

Experience

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a sales team leadership role
• At least 1 year insurance sales experience
• Experience within a call centre environment is advantageous
