Sales Specialist Home Improvement

SUMMARY:
Driving sales of home conversion and improvement products — including doors, patio enclosures, and security barriers — to residential homeowners, construction firms, and commercial clients.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

• Client consultations — Conduct on‑site assessments for new and existing customers to understand requirements and propose suitable solutions.
• Relationship management — Build and maintain strong, long‑term business relationships with clients across residential and commercial sectors.
• New business development — Identify, pursue, and secure new customers and sales opportunities.
• Account growth — Expand product penetration and sales volumes within existing accounts.
• Customer needs analysis — Ensure all customer requirements are fully understood and met with appropriate product solutions.
• Problem resolution — Address customer concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
• Professional conduct — Maintain a high standard of professionalism in all interactions and transactions.
• Administration & reporting — Complete all required administrative tasks, including sales reports and trip documentation.

Minimum Requirements

• Experience — At least 5 years’ experience selling construction, industrial, or home‑improvement products.
• Education — Grade 12 (Matric) essential; a sales or marketing qualification is advantageous.
• Product knowledge — Strong understanding of home‑conversion and improvement products.
• Driver’s license — Valid, unendorsed driver’s licence and reliable personal vehicle.
• Travel flexibility — Willingness to travel for country trips when required.
• Working hours — Ability to work flexible hours when operationally necessary.

Remuneration

• Negotiable package: R15,000 – R18,000, plus fuel allowance and commission.
