About Our Client 

The company works in collaboration with international suppliers and engineering partners to deliver engineered products, pump selections, equipment upgrades, and technical solutions to clients across multiple industrial sectors. These sectors include mining, petrochemical, chemical, oil and gas, food and beverage, water treatment, refrigeration, manufacturing, power generation, and general industry.

The Role: Sales Representative

The Sales Representative is responsible for driving business growth by identifying new business opportunities, managing long-term customer relationships, and achieving sales and profitability targets. The role focuses on understanding client operational needs, recommending suitable engineered products, and delivering technical sales support to expand regional market presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales budgets.

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within assigned territories and target industries through prospecting, networking, cold calling, and referrals.

• Review technical specifications, gather operational data, recommend suitable products, and assist with pump selections.

• Prepare accurate quotations, follow up to maximize order conversion, and negotiate pricing and commercial terms within company guidelines.

• Build and maintain a structured sales pipeline, execute weekly customer visit plans, and maintain customer records in the CRM system.

• Collaborate with international suppliers and internal departments including Internal Sales, Operations, Procurement, Workshop, and Finance to ensure project execution.

• Monitor market trends and competitor activity while representing the company at customer sites, industry exhibitions, and events.

About You

• Demonstrated technical aptitude with commercial and sales awareness.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hands-on experience with CRM software.

• Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, time management, planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Self-motivated, proactive, results-driven, adaptable, resilient, and customer-focused.

• High level of personal integrity, accountability, professionalism, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

• Valid driver''''s licence with a willingness to travel frequently throughout South Africa and occasionally to neighbouring countries.

• Own reliable transport is preferred.
