SUMMARY:
SALES REPRESENTATIVE (CRANE HIRE)
Location: Rustenburg

NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENTS:

Active client base within the Rustenburg area.
Minimum 3 years' sales experience within the crane industry.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
Strong established network within the crane industry.

ROLE OVERVIEW:
Drive business growth by identifying new opportunities, developing existing customer relationships, and securing crane hire business.
You will work closely with Operations, Workshop, Logistics, Finance, and the Sales team to understand customer requirements, prepare quotations, secure bookings, and ensure a smooth customer experience from enquiry through to completion.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

Grade 12 or equivalent.
A Sales qualification will be advantageous.
3 years' experience in the same or a similar environment.
Proven experience within the mobile crane hire industry.
Proven sales track record.
Working knowledge of crane operations.
Ability to accurately interpret crane capacity charts and site requirements.
Strong financial and commercial acumen.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Cold-calling experience.
Above-average computer proficiency.
Ability to work independently.
Valid willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours, including weekends when required.

Duties and responsibilities:

Identify and secure new crane hire business opportunities.
Build, grow, and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
Conduct site surveys to assess crane capacity, transport, rigging, and equipment requirements.
Prepare accurate and professional quotations based on customer requirements.
Negotiate pricing and discounts within approved parameters.
Ensure all required client documentation is completed and submitted.
Coordinate with Operations to secure crane bookings and meet customer requirements.
Ensure Hire Agreements are signed and required orders are received.
Manage customer queries, complaints, and service-related concerns through to resolution.
Monitor customer accounts and engage with clients regarding overdue payments.
Liaise with Finance to resolve outstanding payment and account queries.
Coordinate billing requirements and assist with month-end administration.
Resolve queries relating to invoices, log sheets, and general customer requirements.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales information and reports.
Update daily sales reports and reconcile information with crane utilisation reports.
Work closely with Sales, Operations, Workshop, Logistics, and Finance to ensure seamless service delivery.
Travel extensively within the assigned region and support customers outside standard office hours when required.
Participate in weekend standby duties as required.
