Sales Rep (Hospitality) (Maitland - Cape Town)

SUMMARY:
Our client, that proudly serves the hospitality industry with a comprehensive range of high-quality products is looking for a Sales Rep (Hospitality) to be based in Maitland – Cape Town to drive sales growth by building strong relationships with retailers, ensuring product availability and executing company sales strategies in a designated territory.

In the FMCG environment, this role focuses on maximizing product availability, driving sales through various channels (e.g. retail, wholesale, informal trade) and improving route-to-market strategies in a fast-moving, high-volume setting.

POSITION INFO:
In order to be considered the following is required:

• High school diploma (minimum); diploma/degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business is an advantage
• 5 years in sales (preferably FMCG or retail)
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet targets
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Basic numeracy and reporting ability
• Valid driver’s license (often required)
• Willingness to travel within assigned territory

• Sales volume and revenue targets
• Number of new accounts opened
• Product availability (shelf presence)
• Collection of payments (if applicable)
• Customer retention and satisfaction

• Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
• Promote and sell FMCG products to hotels, retailers, and distributors
• Identify new business opportunities and expand customer base

• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients
• Conduct regular store visits to maintain visibility and trust
• Resolve customer complaints and ensure satisfaction

• Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and product trends
• Provide feedback to management on market conditions
• Identify opportunities for new product placements

• Maintain accurate sales records and reports
• Track daily activities, orders, and payments
• Manage route planning and visit schedules efficiently
