Leading suppliers of Professional Cable Management, supplying products for cabling, tools, test equipment, fastening, fixing, identifying, and protecting cables and their connecting components seeks an External Sales Rep to do external sales of products to customers in the Western Cape and Northern Cape. The ideal candidate has a Technical qualification (N6 to BTech) or studying towards and an Electrical/ Electronic Trade Tests would be an advantage.

Key performance areas.

1. Specification and sales of cabling, tools, test equipment, fastening, fixing, identifying, and protecting cables and their connecting components.
2. Identifying key target markets & customers
3. Customer visits, shows & exhibitions with wholesalers and end-users
4. Market analysis specific to the company products & associated products.
5. Customer liaison would include quotations, proposals, training, planning &performance analysis against set objectives of the company and customer.
6. Weekly and monthly progress reporting.

Additional job requirements:

1. Travel – Must be prepared to work extra hours / attend after-hour meetings / Travel out of town.
2. Must be prepared to attend after-hour functions, be involved with shows & exhibitions.
3. Be involved in stock counts.

Suggested minimum education and experience requirements:

1. Technical qualification (N6 to BTech) or studying towards.
2. Electrical/ electronic trade tests would be an advantage.
3. 3 to 4 years sales experience in the electrical industry and/ or knowledge of cabling, tools, test equipment, fastening, fixing, identifying, and protecting cables and their connecting components
4. Very Computer Literate.
