An exciting opportunity has become available at Lucky Star for a Sales Manager in the Gauteng Region. The incumbent will be responsible for delivering the regional sales plan and the management of agents and certain key customers.

This position calls for a high-energy, self-motivated and client centric individual, who thrives in a fast paced, high pressure environment. The ideal candidate would have a demonstrable track record in a similar role within a FMCG environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing Sales Agents
• Managing Sales budgets
• Building and maintaining customer relationships
• Conducting trade visits with agents
• Assisting debtors department with resolving customer queries
• Formulating monthly reports
• Sales Strategy/Planning
• Stakeholder relations
• New product launches
• Promotions and trade advertising
• Pricing
• Rebate Negotiations\Management
• Budgeting and stock allocations

• Ability to interact with and support customers and agents
• Project implementation skills
• Ability to analyse customer sales data
• Ability to work under pressure
• Good communication skills
• Ability to manage sales agents
• Planning / Pricing / Negotiations / Customer relations
• Problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Appropriate business orientated degree/diploma desirable (e.g. BCom)
• 5 years performing a similar role within an FMCG environment
• Driver’s license
• Comfortable with extensive business travel (locally)
