Job Description:
Our client who is addressing tomorrow’s challenges within the marine, energy and industrial sectors currently has an exciting opportunity for a Sales Engineer who will be responsible for maintaining relationships with the current customer base and securing new customers.
The successful incumbent must be highly motivated, flexible, efficient, able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Position details:
Maintain relationship with current customer base and secure new opportunities (3rd party)
Promotion and sales of company engine & marine products to current and potential clients
Understand and grow the business in low, medium and high-speed sales
Schedule face-to-face meetings / visitations with new and / or existing local and regional customers
Create and maintain good relationships with global partners and suppliers
Be aware of competitors pricing and products
Accurate planning, costing and quoting as well as compilation of tenders
Devise and Implement strategies to counter competitors
Maintain accurate records of quotations and customer visits and provide monthly feedback to management
Organise and attend exhibitions as necessary
Location (country, city): Cape Town, Western Cape
Job Qualification & Experience:
Must be highly motivated, flexible, efficient, able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Must be assertive and able to maintain good interpersonal relations
Must have good communication and organisational skills
Must have strong analytical skills
Degree/ diploma or previous experience in Engineering Sales.
Marketing or Sales Training
Foreign language would be advantageous
