SALES ENGINEER

This role combines technical engineering expertise with strategic business development, providing innovative solutions to clients across the mining, manufacturing, industrial, and power generation sectors.

POSITION INFO:
We are looking for a motivated and technically proficient Sales Engineer.

As a trusted technical advisor, you will help customers solve complex engineering challenges by recommending specialized products and services. The successful candidate will possess a strong engineering background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate technical concepts into practical business solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including Engineers, Maintenance Managers, Procurement teams, and Plant Managers.
Identify customer needs and provide tailored technical solutions for industrial applications.
Conduct site visits and inspections to assess equipment performance and recommend appropriate engineering solutions.
Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and customer training sessions.
Collaborate with internal engineering, production, and technical teams to provide exceptional customer support.
Develop new business opportunities while managing and growing existing customer accounts.
Maintain an active sales pipeline and consistently achieve sales and business development targets.
Provide after-sales technical support to ensure long-term customer satisfaction.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
Minimum 3–5 years' experience in technical sales, business development, or application engineering within an industrial environment.
Strong understanding of industrial manufacturing processes and engineering principles.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to interpret technical information and present solutions to both technical and commercial stakeholders.
Self-motivated with strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to customer sites.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
