SUMMARY:
Technical Sales Specialist / Sales Engineer (Pipes and Valves)

Target Industries: Mining, Water/Wastewater, Petrochemical, HVAC, Power Generation, and General Manufacturing.

Primary Objective: Drive revenue growth by managing existing accounts, acquiring new clients, and providing application-driven technical selections for fluid handling and control systems.

Valves: Solid understanding of multi-turn and quarter-turn styles (e.g., Gate, Globe, Check, Butterfly, Ball, and Knife Gate valves).

Automation: Basic to advanced knowledge of pneumatic/electric actuators, solenoids, positioners, and limit switches.

Piping Systems: Knowledge of sizing, schedules, and materials ranging from carbon/stainless steel to high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and thermoplastics

POSITION INFO:

Technical Solution Selling: Analyze client engineering data sheets, line schedules, system pressures, and medium characteristics (e.g., slurry, gas, chemicals) to recommend the correct pipes, manual or control valves, and actuators.

Quotation & Tender Management: Prepare accurate commercial proposals, interpret technical drawings, and respond to large-scale project tenders using ERP/CRM software.

Relationship Management: Act as the primary contact for engineers, procurement teams, project managers, and plumbing contractors.

Business Development: Proactively canvas new target industries, identify pipeline infrastructure projects, and introduce new product ranges.

After-Sales Support: Coordinate with technical workshops regarding product modifications, valve testing, calibration, or onsite troubleshooting.
Education: Grade 12 / Matric with a strong preference for a National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Instrumentation Engineering (or a relevant trade theory
