Sales Business Manager – Mainline & Remarketing

SUMMARY:
Are you a commercially driven Sales Business Manager / Business Development professional with experience in mainline equipment sales and/or remarketing?
We are looking for a dynamic sales professional who understands the equipment lifecycle — from placing new/mainline equipment into the market through to remarketing and maximising the value of assets returning from customers.
This is an opportunity for someone who knows the mainline equipment market and can build relationships, identify opportunities and turn customer requirements into profitable sales.

POSITION INFO:

What you'll be doing

• Drive new business development and grow sales across the mainline and remarketing markets.
• Identify, develop and convert new sales opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, contractors, mining, construction and other equipment-intensive businesses.
• Develop and grow a strong client and partner network.
• Understand customer requirements and translate them into commercially viable equipment solutions.
• Drive sales of mainline equipment as well as returned, pre-owned and remarketed assets.
• Identify the right market and sales channel for available equipment.
• Develop new market opportunities and expand the customer base.
• Build relationships with equipment users, fleet owners, dealers, contractors and other relevant stakeholders.
• Support marketing initiatives and leverage digital platforms to generate additional sales.
• Coordinate the sales process through to delivery.
• Monitor the sales pipeline, targets and opportunities and provide regular reporting to management.
• Ensure a first-class customer experience while maintaining a strong commercial and profitability focus.

What we're looking for

• Proven sales / business development experience within mainline equipment, new equipment sales, plant & machinery, capital equipment or remarketing.
• Experience selling new/mainline equipment, pre-owned equipment, used equipment or returned assets will be highly advantageous.
• A demonstrable track record of winning new business and growing existing accounts.
• Experience selling into corporates and/or state-owned enterprises (SOEs).
• Strong networking and relationship-building ability.
• The ability to understand customer needs and translate them into effective business solutions.
• Strong negotiation, communication and closing skills.
• Good commercial, financial and numerical acumen.
• Excellent administration, reporting and organisational skills.
• The ability to manage multiple opportunities and sales activities simultaneously.
• Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel.
• A valid driver's licence and own vehicle.
