SUMMARY:
Wellington Area – WC: The unique opportunity to work within a dynamic team culture that is in the process of implementing best of breed solutions in the supply chain industry. The specific role will focus on implementing the SHEQX (Safety and Risk Management) system across the company.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Matric
  • Diploma or Tertiary qualification in Logistics or IT is an advantage
  • Passport, Driver’s license and own vehicle is a requirement
  • 2 years IT or systems experience
  • Basic user training experience
  • Basic IT networking experience
  • Basic IT/System fault identification reporting

 

IT and Project Implementation

  • Assist with the installation and setup of the Transport Management System at various depots across Unitrans Africa.
  • Liaise with Unitrans depots on master data required and liaise with key stakeholders to upload data.
  • Ensure project tasks are delivered within scope, budget and on time.
  • Maintain and monitor project plans and time scales.
  • Ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Providing administrative support as needed.
  • Chair and facilitate meetings where appropriate and distribute minutes to all project team members.
  • Prepare timely and accurate implementation progress reports.
  • Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable.
  • Liaise with service providers on resolution of key issues identified.

 

Training and Support

  • Provide end user training on the Transport Management System for Unitrans Africa users across all levels.
  • Provide end user support in the event of user issues experienced.
  • Master the capabilities of the system and guide users on how to most effectively use the solution.

 

Knowledge of the following is essential

  • MS Office – Intermediate / Advanced Excel
