Our client is looking for a skilled and detail‑driven Surveillance Technician to install, maintain, monitor, and repair security systems. If you have strong technical aptitude, enjoy fieldwork, and thrive in a hands‑on environment, this role is perfect for you!
WHAT YOU NEED
- National Senior Certificate (NQF 4)
- 3 years’ experience in an IT environment
- 2+ years’ experience with:
• IT Hardware
• Network Infrastructure
• CCTV Systems
• Access Control Systems
- Strong problem‑solving & prioritisation skills
- Resilience & ability to work under pressure
- High attention to detail
- Operations coordination skills
- Good computer literacy
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install, monitor, repair & troubleshoot surveillance systems
- Inspect systems & identify malfunctions
- Install, configure & maintain access control systems:
• Biometric devices
• Keypads
• Turnstiles
• Intercoms
• Electronic locks
- Perform cable installations & device connections
- Ensure installations comply with SOPs
- Recommend optimal equipment placement
- Verify CCTV camera functionality
- Monitor recording systems & report non‑conformances immediately
- Maintain accurate equipment & stock records
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- After‑hours work required (24/7 onsite service environment)
- Must be medically fit to work in a manufacturing environment
