STORES EXPEDITOR

SUMMARY:
Large manufacturing company situated in the East Rand - Isando area seeking a Stores Expeditor.

POSITION INFO:

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

Housekeeping – Ensure that the yard and storage areas are always clean and neat

• Check purchase orders to verify that correct stock codes, descriptions and specifications have been detailed. Tracking and expediting of all orders relevant to your department.
• Ensure that correct stock and quantities are received and allocated to the applicable storage areas
• Keep track of minimum stock levels to ensure optimum levels are maintained. Report any stock requirements or discrepancies to the plant manager
• Check goods loaded for customers during the loading process to ensure correct items and quantities are loaded. Where possible, arrange pre-picking of stock for pre-planned loads.
• Liaise with sales staff regarding stock availability and loading dates
• Assist Plant Manager with quarterly and year end stock takes
• Updating of all spreadsheets allocated to you
• Recons of Depot stock sheets, and organising of transport for depot stocks
• Working overtime as and when required
• Any other related duties as required by management from time to time

 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• National Senior Certificate.
• Computer literacy.
• Good paperwork procedures
• Excellent telephone manner
• Ability to communicate with and deal with customers at a senior level.
• Previous technical experience including ability to read technical drawings. (Preferred).
• Must be in possession of a valid Code 08 Driver’s Licence.
