Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM platforms.
- Identify, investigate, and escalate potential security incidents.
- Analyse system, network, and application logs.
- Assist with incident response and remediation activities.
- Conduct initial threat investigations and root-cause analysis.
- Maintain and update incident documentation.
- Support vulnerability management initiatives.
- Stay informed on emerging cyber threats and attack techniques.
Job Experience & Skills Required
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts and security frameworks.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals and operating systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Linux environments.
- Exposure to SIEM tools such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, or QRadar.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- Relevant certifications such as Security+, ISC2 CC, SC-900, or Network+ will be advantageous.
