SMI 18804 - Litigation Secretary – Law Firm: East Rand

Our client is seeking to appoint an experienced Litigation Legal Secretary to provide dedicated secretarial and administrative support to a practising attorney.

The successful candidate will work in a hybrid capacity, with a minimum of two days per week in the office and three days working remotely. Initial training will be conducted in-office over a period of several weeks to ensure full integration into systems and workflows.

This role is suited to a mature, highly organised professional with strong litigation experience and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced legal environment.

You will be responsible for:

• Provide full secretarial support to a litigation attorney
• Drafting, typing, formatting and finalising legal documents
• Managing court filings, notices, pleadings, and correspondence
• Diary management and coordination of court dates and deadlines
• Liaising with clients, counsel, courts, and third parties
• Maintaining accurate case files and records
• General administrative support within the litigation department
