Job Description

Our client is seeking to employ an experienced Senior Conveyancing Secretary to join their dynamic team in the Cape Winelands. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the conveyancing department, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and the highest level of professionalism in all matters.

You will be responsible for:

Attending to conveyancing secretarial duties relating to Transfers and Bonds
Preparing and formatting legal documents with exceptional accuracy
Drafting correspondence and ensuring correct legal terminology and formatting
Managing files efficiently and maintaining accurate records
Liaising with clients, banks, and relevant stakeholders
Maintaining strict confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Supporting a collaborative and positive team environmen

Qualifications

Matric (essential)
Tertiary qualification (beneficial)

Skills

The successful candidate will have:

Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Conveyancing
Solid experience in both Transfers and Bonds (preferred)
Excellent typing speed with exceptional accuracy
Strong understanding of legal terminology and document formatting
Meticulous attention to detail and strong proofreading skills
Discretion, professionalism, and commitment to confidentiality
Familiarity with legal software and case management systems
Valid driver’s license
Experience with Ghost Practice will be advantageous
A team player who values collaboration and a supportive work culture
