SMI 15367 - Legal Enforcement Officer (Debt Collection) – Law Firm – Johannesburg North

Our client, a specialist in commercial and pensions law, is seeking a meticulous and experienced Legal Enforcement Officer to join their dynamic team.

You will be responsible for:

13A duties:

• Open files electronically
• Constant update of all working spreadsheets on matters
• Analyse monthly reports and manage actions accordingly
• Send monthly reminders – telephonic and written
• Administering monthly Letters of Demand
• Capturing general updates in matters of a management system
• File management
• Managing handovers between departments
• Assist legal departments with administration and support activities
• Communication with external parties
• Manage all dedicated tasks within the allocated time frames
• Contact key representatives and advise them of their requirements
• Prepare and maintain files comprehensively to facilitate meetings
• Set up meetings to manage matters with the relevant Attorneys assigned
• Follow-up on matters to final resolution
• Manage and update reconciliations and
• Other duties as requested

Reception and Administration (Ad-hoc basis – minimal):

• Reception duties
• Managing boardrooms
• Managing courier services
• Provide information to callers
• Manage visitors and boardroom activities, enquiring on the nature of the visit or query and directing them to the correct destination or requesting the relevant staff member to attend to the same
