SHREQ Manager

Our client is a rapidly growing an innovative company of talented Architects, Engineers, Contractors and Developers based in Cape Town.
They are looking for a passionate SHREQ Manager to join their team!

POSITION INFO:
We are in search for a SHREQ Manager with strong leadership skills and a passion for building a culture of safety, quality, and compliance across all areas of work.

This role will be central in shaping Quality Management System (QMS) and ensuring compliance with national legislation and international standards.

Responsibilities:
● Draft, implement, and maintain SHREQ policies and procedures in alignment with the OHS Act and ISO 9001.
● Lead the setup and maintenance of the Quality Management System and drive ISO 9001 accreditation.
● Manage and mentor the SHREQ team, ensuring clear direction and alignment with the strategic vision.
● Conduct internal audits, monitor compliance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
● Collaborate with Project, Engineering, and Site Teams to embed SHREQ practices in day-to-day operations.
● Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership.

Qualifications:
● Degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental Management, or Quality.
● Proven experience leading SHREQ or QMS systems, preferably in Construction or Engineering.
● Strong knowledge of the OHS Act and ISO 9001 accreditation requirements.
● Excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
● Ability to implement processes while inspiring a strong culture of safety and quality.
