JOB DESCRIPTION:

SHEQ Manager – Durban - R550,000-R600,000 per annum (Neg)

The SHEQ Manager will be responsible for ensuring National Legislative Compliance and achieving the business objectives. Must have solid Quality & Steel experience

Requirements:

Mechanical Engineering qualification and/or Quality Control and Welding Inspection Level 2
A SHEQ management qualification advantageous
In-depth knowledge of OHSAS 18001 & ISO 90001 & 14001
An integrated SHEQ auditing certificate (Advantageous)
Minimum of 8 years SHEQ management experience in a Manufacturing environment where ISO practices are well entrenched

Responsibilities:

Develop, manage and co-ordinate all SHEQ requirements and strategies required to ensure that the company’s processes adhere to applicable quality standards and regulatory requirements
Develop and maintain Quality Control Packs
Ensure continuous ISO- and DNV audit compliance
Develop, maintain, and execute a SHEQ audit programme, with internal audits being conducted on a regular basis
Ensure that legal appointments, certification, and compliance are maintained
Conduct risk assessments & generate data books
Update and monitor quality systems and procedures
Provide support, evaluate risk performance and reliability, and recommend corrective and preventative actions.
Responsible for day-to-day execution of quality systems
Incident and accident investigations
Liaise with all departments to achieve legislative compliance
Develop and carry out SHEQ training and educational programmes
