SHEQ Internship – 18 Months

SUMMARY:
We are seeking a recent graduate who has completed a BSc Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Sciences, or a related field to join our client’s team for an 18-month SHEQ Graduate Internship Programme. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated graduate looking to gain practical workplace experience within Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality processes in a professional working environment.
The successful candidate will gain exposure to SHEQ administration, compliance processes, inspections, reporting, and overall operational support while working alongside experienced professionals within the industry.

POSITION INFO:
Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with SHEQ administrative functions and documentation.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of SHEQ policies and procedures.
• Assist with safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Help ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
• Maintain SHEQ records, reports, and incident documentation.
• Assist with toolbox talks, safety meetings, and staff awareness initiatives.
• Support environmental and quality management processes.
• Monitor and report on workplace hazards and non-conformances.
• Assist with incident investigations and corrective action follow-ups.
• Ensure that SHEQ files and compliance documents are kept up to date.

• Completed BSc Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a BSc in Environmental Sciences. 
• SAMTRAC certificate will be advantageous. 
• Recently graduated and seeking workplace experience
• Strong administrative and organisational skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
