SERVICE MANAGER (MOTOR / LAUNDRY MACHINERY INDUSTRY)

POSITION INFO:

RedCat Recruitment is URGENTLY seeking a suitably qualified and experienced SERVICE MANAGER (MOTOR / LAUNDRY MACHINERY INDUSTRY) for a well-established large concern, position based in the Durban area.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Grade 12.

English speaking person (must be able to speak / read / write English competently).

Valid driver’s license / own reliable vehicle.

Technical knowledge / experience/qualification is ESSENTIAL.

Strong computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet).  SAP or similar accounting software experience an added advantage.

Previous exposure to mechanical and / or electrical workings is ESSENTIAL.

Person must have been in a similar role in the motor industry / cleaning, laundry equipment etc.

Person must have previously managed a service department.

Previous working experience in the laundry equipment / machinery industry.

Excellent communicator with proven management leadership experience.  Person will be required to lead the team and ensure all customer service needs are met in a timely manner.

3yrs+ previous working experience in a similar environment / position.

Manage all technicians and service controllers, their productivity and daily work schedules.

Deal with customer complaints and product issues.

Strong customer care skills.

Oversee distribution of spares when required.

Strong administration skills is essential (dealing with quotes, invoices, service contracts, all other required administrative duties).

Attend site meetings for tender purposes.

Oversee and manage workshop repairs.

Oversee and manage technician’s vehicles and assist the National Fleet Manager when required.

Training staff in areas of customer service and company policies.

Assisting with the implementation of service policies and explaining these to staff and customers.

Salary package offered: - Basic salary + benefits + 13^th cheque + company vehicle (for business use only)
