SERVICE CONTROLLER - JHB

POSITION INFO:

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To manage all calls related to the service department by opening and following up on jobs as well as ensuring jobs are closed and the documentation filed in an orderly manner.  This person will ensure that Service Technicians are booked accordingly and that their travel arrangements are made.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receiving incoming calls
• Deal with inbound service-related calls - New calls opened on SAP; Account status checked, and service Report number communicated to the allocated engineer
• Deal with accounts on hold/COD
• Deal with requests for quoted repairs
• Close service call - Cancelled calls closed on SAP; Time and material data entered in SAP as per procedures and ensure spares have been posted
• Maintain the database
• Conduct after service call follow up
• Contract maintenance
• Monitor Open Jobs - Follow up with technicians daily on open jobs and report on progress to Back Office Manager
• Maintain an easy reference filing system
• Travel arrangements for all service jobs - Flights, accommodation, and car hire

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• Relevant certificate/degree or similar qualification and/or extensive and relevant on-the-job training
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a similar role
• Microsoft Office experience essential
• SAP experience - non-negotiable
