SUMMARY:
Our client an Insurance based in Randburg is looking for a Sales Consultant in the Employee Benefits space.

POSITION INFO:

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

The successful candidate will be required to market our service and products to prospective corporate clients, with the objective to build wealth and change lives for our clients and the members from an employee benefits perspective with client centric solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Markets services and products to corporate clients
  • Consulting and recommending appropriate corporate benefit solutions.
  • Ongoing review and servicing of clients for sales opportunity.
  • Build relationships with potential clients and employee benefits providers and know all details of the potential client.
  • Develops an action plan around how to deliver inflow budget.
  • Builds and develops a pipeline of prospective clients in the corporate space to ensure targets are met.
  • Act as the interface between the client and the company’s Financial Services keeping the channels of communication open.
  • Service existing clients and source new business opportunities
  • Follow up on leads and drive profitable growth and account development.
  • Provides advice and consults on a wide range of products & potential investment opportunities to corporate clients.
  • Maintains a database of pipeline of new and existing clients.
  • Ensure when interacting with clients that you exercise perseverance, patience, and good listening skills. Always act on behalf of the company’s Financial Services in an ethical manner as well as ensuring honesty, integrity, and transparency.
  • Remain client focused at all times, ensuring that you are results and solution focused and follow through timeously as per set turnaround times.
  • Keep abreast with industry changes around benefits (medical scheme, retirement fund, group risk, employee wellness programme, expatriation health benefits etc.) and the products available in the market;
  • Observe and assist with in-depth analysis of the client’s financial needs and provide appropriate solutions.
  • PROFESSIONALISM
  • Ensuring clear, effective, and professional communication to clients;
  • Always adhere to high standards of quality and professionalism (punctuality, formal dress code, professional written and verbal communication etc.);
  • Comply with FAIS code of conduct;
  • Adhere to the company’s ‘Style Guide’ protocol, ensure that all external communication is peer reviewed before sending;
  • Treat clients with dignity and respect; - Keep workstation neat, orderly, and tidy;
  • Work collaboratively and efficiently with other team members and provide support where required;

 

QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCY AND EXPERIENCE

  • Matric
  • RE5 (Advantageous)
  • Customer Service Orientation
  • Analytical Thinking & Attention to Detail
  • Assertiveness (includes willingness to challenge & engage respectively)
  • 2 years financial planning or corporate benefit sales experience.
  • At least 1-year experience in healthcare and industry knowledge
  • Results & Solution Focused (Passion, Drive, Energy & Follow-through)
  • In process of attaining FAIS Fit & Proper compliant (NQF Level 5) MS Office proficient and proficiency in English (second language proficiency preferable); d
