Rooms Division Manager

Our Hotel in Camps Bay in the heart of Cape Town's beachside suburb.  We are currently looking for a Rooms Division Manager for this eclectic property. 

Requirements: 

• Diploma in Hospitality Management
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role
• Driver's license with own reliable transport
• Strong Opera experience

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that the aesthetics of the hotel is always favorable
• Ensure rooms are serviced and maintained to the standards set forth by the company 
• Regular inspection of facilities and rooms for maintenance purposes
• Stock control (Housekeeping)
• Planning of new hotel projects in conjunction with the Chairman and Facilities manager. 
• Dealing with customer complaints
• Be visible at all times
• Responsible for IOD and guest incidents (documentation)
• Ensure that all guests are greeted, checked in (and out) and allocated rooms promptly
• Ensure strict procedures on check in/out are followed
• Ensure maximum occupancy with agreed overbooking policy
• Conducting on-the-job training
• Submission of Payroll documentation
• Ensure effective liaison between Reservations and Front Office departments e.g. Housekeeping, Maintenance and F&B
