Rigging Supervisor

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Control Rigging activities, with regards to Rigging machines, Rigging equipment and Rigging personnel to ensure successful project completion

Responsibilities:

• Control and coordinate all allocated site Rigging activities.
• Deploy manpower according to the scope of work and production plan.
• Demonstrate knowledge of all relevant discipline specific equipment and provide proactive solutions to problems.
• To ensure all relevant documentation is compiled and maintained in accordance with Standard Practice.
• Participate in setting up and maintaining QA/QC systems, work processes and procedures.
• Participate in the development and review of Rigging studies.
• Participate in the development and review of Rigging Risk Assessments.
• Monitor and advise on the general safety of riggers including the awareness of health risks.
• Ensure the control of all rigging equipment and protective gear.
• Coach and mentor learners and artisans.

Requirements:

• Certification in HIRA, RCAT, Working at heights and in confined spaces.
• Rigger trade test (Red Seal) and N4 in mechanical studies.
• 5 years working experience as a Rigger.
• Basic knowledge of Labour Law and OHS Regulations.
• Grade 12
