SUMMARY:
Revit Specialist - Interior Designer
POSITION INFO:
We are seeking a skilled Interior Designer with strong Revit expertise to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality technical drawings, detailed Revit models, and custom Revit families for retail projects.
This role requires a strong eye for accuracy, understanding of construction detailing, and experience delivering coordinated documentation across multiple disciplines.
Key Responsibilities

Produce detailed architectural drawings, layouts, and construction documentation using Autodesk Revit (primary software).

Create, maintain, and manage Revit families and templates to ensure design consistency and efficiency.

Prepare technical drawings for retail environments, including shopfitting layouts, joinery, and fixture detailing.

Collaborate with architects, project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure model coordination and accuracy.

Ensure compliance with SANS, NBR, and municipal regulations for all council submissions.

Maintain drawing version control and adherence to BIM standards.

Participate in design coordination meetings and contribute to the resolution of technical or design challenges.

National Diploma or Higher Certificate in Interior Design

3–5 years’ experience as an Interior Designer preferably within the retail or commercial sector.

Proficiency in Autodesk Revit Architecture (essential).

Experience in Revit family creation, BIM coordination, and technical detailing.

Familiarity with AutoCAD, SketchUp, or BIM 360 (advantageous).

Solid understanding of construction methods, building regulations, and technical documentation.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
