RETAIL STORE MANAGER

Luxury Fashion & Apparel Retailer – New Store Opening | Paarl Mall

POSITION INFO:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Take full responsibility for the day-to-day management and performance of the store.
• Drive sales and achieve/exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
• Deliver an exceptional luxury customer experience and maintain high service standards.
• Lead, motivate, coach and develop the retail team.
• Manage staff performance, attendance, scheduling and daily productivity.
• Ensure the store consistently meets the brand's visual merchandising and presentation standards.
• Maintain excellent standards of housekeeping, stock presentation and store organisation.
• Oversee stock management, including receiving, transfers, replenishment, stock counts and loss prevention.
• Monitor key sales and operational performance indicators and implement strategies to improve results.
• Manage store administration, reporting and compliance requirements.
• Ensure company policies, procedures and brand standards are consistently followed.
• Handle customer queries and complaints professionally and efficiently.
• Build strong relationships with customers and encourage repeat business and brand loyalty.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and ongoing training of store employees.
• Ensure the team is knowledgeable about products, collections, promotions and brand values.
• Work closely with regional/head office management to achieve business objectives.
• Take ownership of the store's overall commercial performance and reputation.

REQUIREMENTS

• Matric / Grade 12 essential.
• Relevant retail management qualification will be advantageous.
• 3–5+ years' retail management experience, preferably within fashion, luxury retail or a premium branded environment.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving store performance.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and sales ability.
• Experience managing stock, merchandising and retail operations.
• High level of professionalism and personal presentation.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Passion for fashion, luxury brands and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
• Flexible to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.
• Must be available immediately.
