SUMMARY:
Our client and leader in the retail industry is looking for a qualified Buyer to

POSITION INFO:

You will be responsible for:

ØMeet with suppliers on a regular basis

ØNegotiate pricing (deals)

ØNegotiate to hold list pricing for regional suppliers as long as possible in order to benefit in market place

ØListing of new lines relevant to Company’s market and collect spend to launch these lines into the Company’s Franchise stores

ØNegotiate and collect Ad-hoc and Additional Advertising Spend and keep recons of these

ØEnsuring GMROI and GMROM are maintained

ØAssist stores with managing stock days as well as absolute stock for each supplier

ØListing and meeting with all new suppliers interested in listing with the Company’s Franchise Group

ØCompile and implement Regional Promotions for new stores and re-launches

ØResume responsibility for promotions for the region

ØKeep track of competitor pricing in the trade and ensure that Company is benefiting from best pricing in the region

ØCompile supplier plans on a monthly basis, which involves tracking sales as in as well as out, opposition pricing, margins and growth

ØMeet with KAM’s on a regular basis to obtain insight to Company’s position in the market place – plan accordingly to maximize sales

ØForecasting of stock

ØTravelling to Stores and participate on Annual Charity Days, Trade Shows and Events

Minimum requirements

ØMust have relevant degree and min of 3 Years of current buying experience within a retail/wholesale/FMCG environment

ØKnowledge and understanding of Financial indicators

ØExcellent communication skills Sound analytical skills

ØGood negotiation skills

ØComputer literacy - MS Office & SAP experience will be advantageous

ØNumeric reasoning

ØAbility to build strong supplier relationships

ØProject management skills
