Hospitality Hire SA is recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead operations at one of Franschhoek’s most refined hospitality destinations.
The estate offers a luxurious à la carte restaurant, scenic picnics, wine tasting, and laid-back Cape-style lunches, all framed by world-class service and natural beauty.

This role is perfect for a service-obsessed professional who thrives in fine dining or wine estate environments. You'll lead a committed FOH team, work closely with chefs and cellar staff, and shape seamless guest experiences from arrival to farewell.

POSITION INFO:
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗪𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗼𝗿:

• 3–5 years’ management experience in fine dining or wine estate hospitality
• Solid food, wine, and premium guest service knowledge
• Strong leadership, rostering, and team training experience
• Highly organised with excellent communication skills
• Proficient in POS, stock, and operational systems
• South African citizenship required

• Lead the restaurant and tasting room experience
• Maintain FOH standards, reservations, and guest relations
• Elevate every guest interaction with warmth and professionalism

• Guide tastings and pairings that reflect the estate’s story
• Train the team in wine knowledge and service style
• Champion brand values through refined presentation

• Manage logistics and delivery of curated picnic experiences
• Coordinate with kitchen and garden teams for seamless execution

• Train, coach, and motivate a high-performing service team
• Oversee performance reviews, shift planning, and recruitment
• Foster a culture of service, excellence, and accountability

• Handle daily cash-ups and reporting
• Manage stock levels and supplier relationships
• Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and legal standards

• Energetic, professional, and highly detail-oriented
