SUMMARY:
Hospitality Hire is currently recruiting for a Restaurant Hostess on behalf of a newly opened hotel in Camps Bay, Cape Town.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with a warm personality, excellent communication skills, and previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment. As one of the first points of contact for guests, the hostess plays an important role in creating a welcoming and professional first impression.
We are looking for a confident and well-presented individual who enjoys interacting with guests and takes pride in delivering exceptional service in a busy hotel restaurant environment.

POSITION INFO:
About the Role
The Restaurant Hostess will be responsible for welcoming guests to the restaurant, managing reservations, and coordinating seating with the service team to ensure a smooth dining experience.
This role requires someone who is organised, attentive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment while maintaining a friendly and professional approach with guests.
Minimum Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment
- Experience in a hostess, front-of-house, or guest-facing role preferred
- Professional appearance and confident communication skills
- Friendly and welcoming personality
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Strong organisational and coordination skills

Key Responsibilities

Welcome and greet guests as they arrive at the restaurant
- Manage restaurant reservations and waiting lists
- Escort guests to their tables and present menus
- Coordinate seating arrangements with the restaurant management and service team
- Maintain a professional and welcoming atmosphere in the restaurant entrance area
- Assist with guest queries and ensure a smooth dining experience
