SUMMARY:
A well-established company based in Epping, Cape Town, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented R&D Assistant to join their team.

The successful candidate will support the Research and Development department by assisting with sample preparation, inventory management, administrative duties, and ensuring an efficient and organized R&D kitchen environment.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
3 – 5 years of experience in a similar role within food manufacturing sector.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Strong communication and numerical skills.
Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

Scale and prepare samples for clients and food technologists.
Create sample labels, sample advice notes, and address labels for shipments.
Manage the stock of raw materials and packaging materials for the R&D kitchen, ensuring timely orders from the factory.
Maintain accurate administrative records by filing relevant information for future reference.
Communicate effectively with sales representatives and food technologists to ensure smooth operations.
Uphold hygiene and safety standards by maintaining a clean and organized working environment.
Ensure the safe and confidential storage of company information.
Assist with blending of ingredients and products that cannot be manufactured by the factory, ensuring timely completion.
Perform additional duties as required by management.
