POSITION INFO:
My client, a well known Retailer wants to reward a Regional Visual Merchandiser with an exciting career opportunity.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To ensure consistent and visually appealing in-store presentation aligned with the brand identity and to optimize customer engagement to improve sales across all locations.
REQUIREMENTS
Diploma in Visual Merchandising, Interior Design, or a related field. A degree is advantageous.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in visual merchandising within the retail industry, preferably furniture and appliances.
Competent in MS Office packages.
Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is advantageous.
Strong verbal & written communication.
Fluent in English or Afrikaans.
Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport essential.
Willing to travel regionally on a regular basis and be away from home for extended periods of time particularly with new store set ups.

Duties
Visual Merchandising Strategy Creation and Implementation
Create and execute the company’s visual merchandising guidelines and strategies across all stores.
Collaborate with store managers to align merchandising displays with promotional campaigns and seasonal changes.
Ensure all stores maintain a consistent brand image.
Support the launch of new products by designing impactful displays.
Store Display Management
Create and maintain visually compelling store layouts and displays for furniture, appliances, and décor items.
Optimize the placement of key products to drive traffic and sales.
Manage point-of-sale displays, window dressing, and signage placement.
Design and arrange compelling window displays that attract foot traffic.
Oversee the presentation and maintenance of the store''s windows, lights, floors, and displays.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the store, including office and desk areas.
Ensure shop front signage is aligned with brand standards. 30
Training and Development
Train store teams on visual merchandising best practices and guidelines.
Conduct workshops to enhance understanding of product presentation and customer flow optimization.
Performance Analysis and Reporting
Analyze the effectiveness of merchandising strategies and identify opportunities for improvement.
Prepare and present regular reports on merchandising initiatives and the impact on sales.
Analize sales reports to identify trends and optimize product placement.
Manage aged stock effectively, ensuring it is displayed or discounted as needed.
Collaboration and Communication
Work closely with Merchandise and Marketing to align product and category marketing and promotional activities.
Visit stores regularly to assess and enhance visual merchandising standards.
Provide hands-on support for large-scale store resets, new store openings, and special events.
Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely delivery of marketing and promotional materials.
Communicate effectively with these internal teams to provide insights on product trends and inventory levels.
Budget Management
Manage regional visual merchandising budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
Source and procure materials for displays while maintaining budget constraints.
Professional Development
Explore local and international visual merchandising and store design trends, incorporating them into the in-store experience.
Enhance professional knowledge and skills by attending exhibitions, participating in training sessions, and utilizing online resources.
Regularly perform competitive shopping to monitor industry trends.
