SUMMARY:
Large corporate company based in Epping (Cape Town) seeks the assistance of a Regional Sales Manager.

POSITION INFO:

Qualification

  • Matric
  • B-degree in sales / Marketing / Business Administration Degree or NQF level 6

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Sales Manager or a similar role in a medium to large company with exposure in hospitality / service-related industry.

Duties

  • Comprehensive understanding of the laundry production process
  • Understanding of the supply and demand chain
  • In depth understanding of services / products that the company delivers
  • In depth understanding of the client / customer needs
  • Comprehensive understanding of textiles, textile manufacturing, textile finishes, textile treatment, laundry chemicals, textiles tests and textile damage.
  • Comprehensive understanding of legal implications and requirements regarding service level agreements and service contracts
  • Comprehensive understanding of all related legislation and ability to ensure compliance to relevant legislation (OHSA, BCEA, LRA)
  • Comprehensive understanding of finance, accounting and cost accounting to ensure maximisation on profit margins and accurate forecasting
  • Basic understanding of economic and business concepts, and be able to design and implement both short-term and long-term business strategies
  • Ability to successfully manage and provide direction to the sales and sales administration team to ensure that the organizational goals are met and exceeded for the region
  • Ability to plan, develop, implement, execute, monitor and control all regional strategic sales and business development initiatives
  • Ability to accomplish regional sales objectives through accurate forecasting, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analysing variances initiating corrective actions
  • Ability to demonstrate good problem solving, decision making, negotiation and innovative skills.
  • Ability to forecast, compile, monitor and control all budgets and budget requirements relating to the sales and service division for the region and provide strategic input into the regional budget
  • Ability to set strategic regional goals and provide direction in line with business strategy and objectives, cascading goals and objectives to functional and individual level within the sales team and adapt these to suite shifts / changes in the market place in the region
  • Ability to build sound relationships prospective clients, identify potential new clients and build relationships with them, identify new / untapped markets, implement and execute plans to create new opportunities / markets and capitalize on created opportunities / markets
  • Proficient computer literacy in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook and company related software
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing
